Digitech is excited to announce that company founder David McConachie has recently been elected to the board of Variety - The Children’s Charity of British Columbia. David has been active with Variety for many years now, and looks forward to bringing his invaluable expertise from the business world to a cause that means so much to him.
Variety is a charity that raises funds and distributes grants through-out British Columbia, to children with special needs and their families. Founded in 1927, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Variety was initially founded as a social club, and did not become a charitable organization until 1929. In the past 80 years, variety has raised over $1.5 billion, and has grown to 43 organizations around the globe. The Children’s Charity of BC was founded in 1965, having raised over $155 million for children and families through-out British Columbia in that time. Variety’s full history can be read here.
