Digitech was recently mentioned in BUSINESS IN VANCOUVER Magazine’s June 2010 Green Edition, for its efforts to use ISO certification as a means of improving its already-sound environmental practices.
Digitech is in the process of obtaining its ISO 14001 certification through ISOActiv Business Solutions, a Vancouver-based company that specializes in ISO consulting and training. Also with ISOActiv Business Solutions, Digitech recently obtained its ISO 9001:2008 standard for its Quality Management System (QMS).

BUSINESS IN VANCOUVER June 2010 Green Edition - Beyond the Green Hype
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized environmental management standard that helps businesses reduce their environmental impact. An Environmental Management System (EMS) is defined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as “a set of processes and practices that enable an organization to reduce its environmental impact and increase its operating efficiency”. What this means, it that Digitech is training its staff and modifying operating policies to follow a set of environmental standards that have been defined by an internationally recognized organization.
When a business is ISO certified, they are practicing the same policies that other ISO certified companies are practicing around the globe. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a non-governmental organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. For more information about ISOActiv Business Solutions and how they can help your business achieve these same internationally recognized standards, please visit their website.
